About: Aymeric de Borel is a knight of Ishgard who lives up to all the virtues one would expect - he is noble, honest, compassionate, and courageous. Whether in actual battle against dragons, or figuratively in the world of cut-throat politics, he can hold his own more often than not. His handsome face and composed demeanour belay a drive to see righteousness and justice done - as well as an opportunistic streak that helped him climb social rankings that were otherwise barred to him.
He is also a dork who loves tea, dancing, cooking, blue, and the occasional pun.
Battle Abilities:
He's a combination Tank/DPS. Functionally, Aymeric's canon abilities mainly a) are advanced sword skills augmented with his own aether (life/magic energy), b) strengthen his overall defences, and allow him to briefly make himself invulnerable here and there, and c) greater ability to draw his opponent(s) attention (so accompanying high-damage dealers can concentrate on dealing damage). This tumblr post lists his abilities as seen in dungeons where he can accompany the player.
While Aymeric is shown to be an adept archer as well, he primarily fights with a sword, and has not yet gone into any battles with the player as an archer.
